The Allen Philharmonic welcomes you to experience the beauty of the American musical landscape with its spring program of American composers.  Enjoy John Williams, The Cowboys Overture, Curtis Mayfield’s It’s Alright, TJ Cole’s Nightscapes and William Grant-Still’s Symphony No.1, Afro-American.  The Grant-Still work holds the unique history of the first symphony composed by a black composer performed by a major American Orchestra.  Special guest Alex McDonald solos in George Geshwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue.
